Allow me to introduce you to my next book. It’s a middle-grade fantasy adventure novel with a touch of regency era history.
So, without further ado…
The Balter of Ashton Harper
There’s no official release date yet, but I would estimate it coming out sometime fairly early in 2022.
In addition to the title, I’ve also released my Pinterest boards for the book and character aesthetics. Check them out here!
What to know more? Drop your questions in the comments below! I’ll be posting a Q and A video about the upcoming title on my YouTube channel soon!
Millie, I loved the title of your new book. Regency era is my favourite time. (I love Austen) I have never read a book which is a mixture of fantasy, adventure and historical. So definitely I am longing to get hold a copy of your book. I am impatient!!! You have always been an inspiration to me. I’m glad to have found you. Millie, you will forever reign on my inspiration list. LOVE YOU
Btw, I am unable to see your characters Pinterest board.
I have few questions, I will be glad if you answer them:
1. What was the inspiration behind your new book?
2. What were your struggle while writing the novel(like character formation, plot, etc)
3. General Question: How you urge yourself to write daily?

Thank you Adrika! I’m so glad you like it! I’m impatient too, haha! Those are great questions! I will definitely add them to the list I’ll answer in my upcoming video.

Aahhhhh, the title sounds fantastic!! I can’t wait to hear more about this story in the coming months! 😀
Thank you!! I’m so glad you like it! I can’t wait to share more soon!
Millie, I am in love with the title of your book. I love historical fiction in an adventure book and we certainly need to see more of that in middle-grade fiction. I am actually writing in a similar genre and I was struggling at first, but the characters have kept me going.
My questions for you:
1. When was the idea for The Balter of Ashton Harper conceived and how did you develop it into a story? Discuss your journey of producing this novel.
2. Is this book the third book you finished? How have your writing skills improved over the course of your writing journey?
3. I love how well-developed your characters are. Do you ever struggle to mold them together into a strong plot?
Oooo excellent questions Shreya! I’ll be sure to address them in my video! I’m so glad you like the title!
Dear Millie, I am so excited to read this! It should be coming in the mail sometime next week! Im planning on leaving a longer review soon lol. I’ll probably finish reading it in like 2 days, so yeah! So excited!

Thank you so much!! I can’t wait for you to read it!
Also, 3 questions,
1. Who was your favorite charecter in this book?
2. Did you experience writer’s block?
( when im writing i get writers block right after i come up with a climax)
3. What was your research journey with this book?
1. That’s a toss-up between Ashton and Zizi. It was very fun to write about them, especially when they interact with each other! XD
2. Yes. Majorly. I struggled to write for almost a full year before I finally figured out what I wanted this book to be, then the first draft came easily!
3. Reading Jane Austen’s books, watching Jane Austen’s movie adaptations, and an abundance of googling and reading blog posts on the regency era!
Millie, this might be one of the best books i have ever read! The imagery and similies are spot on, and i could really feel and understand ashton’s conflicting emotions. He was probably my favorite charecter. I love how your story really weaves in such realistic sibling dynamics. I love how this book is great for all ages. We’re going to do this as a family read aloud soon. I’ve got almost 17npages of my creative writing story done, and you have inspired me so much! You should totally write a sequel about when they’re at schoo., that would so cool!!!!! 🙂 i literally can’t tell you how much ive enjoyed this, i binged almost a whole night on it, and it was so worth it! Keep writing, you are so talneted!

Hey Abbie!
Thank you so much! I’m so happy to hear that you enjoyed the book and that you’ve been writing so much!! I hope your whole family enjoys Balter!
Would you consider posting a review of Balter on Amazon or Goodreads? Reviews are very helpful to authors, and help new readers find the book! Your review would only need to be a couple sentences, but it would be extremely helpful!
Thank you so much for reading my book, Abbie! Your support means a lot to me. <3
