The Second Hand’s Lesson (a poem)

Time isn’t always swift

As some may complain

The second hand pauses adrift

Before it ticks again

Let us learn a lesson well

From studious Mr. Clock

For if timekeepers can rest – pray tell;

Why can a human not?
